DJ Fun - biography
Životní láskou DJ Funa je hudba. Miluje funk, soul, acid jazz, ale ze všeho nejvíc house music!
V jeho setech se setkáte se styly jako deep house, funky house, soulful house, nu-disco, garage, jackin house, ale i nu-jazz, lounge a chill out - vždy v závislosti od toho na jakém místě právě hraje.
Od devadesátých let Fun pravidelně vystupuje ve většině klubů po celé ČR (Radost FX, Roxy, Mecca, L-klub, LeClan, Akropolis, U Bukanýra...).
V roce 1998 otvírá svůj vlastní klub v Hradci Králové -D.I.S.C.O.2001- jenž je ještě téhož roku v anketě časopisu Tripmag vyhlášen jako 5.nejlepší klub v ČR!
O rok později je jeho mixované cd vyhlášeno v Tripmagu promem měsíce a zároveň je DJ Fun v tomto časopise zařazen mezi 15 nejnadanějších českých DJs.
Funovo učinkování na scéně v době přelomu Milenia je spojeno s bookingem u nejznámější domácí agentury Lighthouse, pod jejichž křídly hraje na velkých parties a festivalech vedle takových hvězd jako jsou Carl Cox, Bushwacka, Jaydee, Underworld či Groove Armada...
Od roku 2006 se též věnuje vlastní hudební tvorbě a to v producentské dvojici Fun & Richie, spolu také vlastní label Elemental music, na jehož kontě je přes 30 releasů.
Nejúspěšnějším singlem Fun & Richie je remix Lumierovy skladby Mama Said, jenž se dostal do TOP 20 Beatport a Juno Chart! Další jejich skladba s názvem "Fly" vyšla na mnoha zahraničních kompilacích, nedávno např. na "Ibiza Sunset Vol. 3." Za zmínku stojí jistě i remix "Tell Me Love" pro Daru Rolins.
Stylově – přestože nerad škatulkuje - charakterizuje svoji hudbu jako groovy "funky jazzy deep" house s hutnou basovou linkou, atmosferickými plochami a melodiemi, často i s příjemnými vokály.
V současnosti ho můžete často vidět a slyšet v pražských clubech Roxy, Bukanýr, Chapeau Rouge, či Vinyl Bar a také v hradeckém klubu Infinity.
Má za sebou též hraní na Slovensku, ve Franci, v Chorvatsku či Montenegru. Každoročně ho můžete slyšet na festivalech jako RFP či Colors of Ostrava.
Pokud chcete do svého clubu DJe, který dokáže publikum svojí hudbou skutečně pobavit a dokonale vygradovat atmosféru, v jeho případě nemusíte ani chvilku pochybovat!

In the summer of 2019, DJ Fun was chosen by the British cult label Defected as the only one Czech DJ for the prestigious Defected Croatia festival, where he performed in competition with the world's top house artists such as Armand Van Helden, Claptone, The Shapeshifters, Sam Divine and Joey Negro!
One of house-music pioneer from Czech Republic, where today belongs to longest and most reputable playing DJs. Probably there isn't any music club in Czech Republic he didn't play in.
In 93-98 works as a dj for Labe radio and Life radio where he has several dance music shows however as well as with genre like funky and soul.
In 1999 he opened of D.I.S.C.O.2001 dance club: according to questioning in Tripmag magazine 5.best czech dance club! At the same time, DJ Fun is listed among the 15 most talented Czech DJs in this magazine.
In 2000 dj Fun enters the booking of best known Czech agency LIGHTHOUSE, under whose wings plays in clubs and big stages with such stars as Bushwacka, Carl Cox, Underworld, Jimpster, Groove Armada, Timewriter or Jaydee.
Since 2006, he has also been engaged in his own music creation in the production duo Fun & Richie. On their own label Elemental music they have more than 30 releases. Fun & Richie's most successful single is a remix of Lumiere's song Mama Said, which reached the TOP 20 Beatport and Juno Chart!
Recently, you can often see him in the Prague clubs Roxy, Bukanýr, Chapeau Rouge or Vinyl Bar… He has also recently performed in Slovakia, France, Croatia and Montenegro, and you can hear him every year at festivals such as RFP and Colors of Ostrava.
Stylishly - however he hates cathegorizing - considers his music to be vigorous funky deep house with atmospheric fields and melodies , often with sweet vocals.
